I was recently interviewed by The Art Mark-It,  a Chicago based art blog....

oh my goodness these cuties.

There is this really amazing innovative music duo, Six Impossible Things.  We did a photo shoot a while back, here is the site with some of my images.

And here is a little description.....

Six Impossible Things was founded in 2009 by Jeremy Koch and Molly Orlando Palmiero, brought together in 2004 by a shared interest in contemporary music and a similar electric performing style. This ground-breaking duo has performed numerous recitals and clinics throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area, including widely acclaimed performances at the International Saxophone Symposium and with the Great Noise Ensemble. Comfortable in all genres, they have performed a diverse array of repertoire, ranging from Husa, Wourinen, and Bolcolm to Bach, Faure, and Gershwin. Six Impossible Things looks forward to commissioning new works, collaborating with other musicians, and shifting the perceptions of how classical music is experienced.

You should really check them out!

Confession.....

A little over a month ago my very good friend George Lange contacted me regarding a photo shoot.  He was coming to DC for the first time since I've known him and needed a local assistant.  I said yes with no hesitation.  Any time with George is quality for me.

We were shooting the 8.28 Glenn Beck rally.  I got a bit of run around from George's studio manager about who we were shooting for.  I figured whatever magazine, it was really an interesting moment of history to witness.  And I definitely needed the money.  Turned out we were shooting for Glenn Beck himself.

Standing in the crystal ballroom of the Willard hotel in DC at 6:30 am with Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the people who paid thousands of dollars to be there; I realized how disgusting I felt.  Luckily I was never formally introduced, I dont think I would have been capable of shaking hands.  I'm the girl who started a fundraising group against Sarah Palin!  There was no way.  But it was a job and i did it.   I wont say anything about the rally because as luck has it, you can see for yourselves soon enough.

Glenn Beck is publishing a book.  Apparently he is using a bunch of my images.  I got an interesting call to let me know and ask me if I wanted credit.  What a strange feeling, to not know.  I'm being published!  I'm a photographer, this is something I could put on my resume.  If it was anything else.

I took the credit.  I have no details on the book, I'm sure we'll all hear about it at some point.  I took the credit because its my work and I stand behind it, always.  I just hope that whoever picks up the book sees what I saw, a bunch of people seriously lacking in tact and information.
these are some covers I worked on as photo editor, and often producer and sometimes on set art director...

This was an interesting shoot, super last minute.  I had less than 24 hours to pull it together and we shot in the White House residence.

While not my favorite shot possibly one of the most fun shoots.  I had an amazing crew on this one.

Matt Lauer is hilarious, he has a very dry and dirty sense of humor which always makes shoots more fun.  I owned this Dyson for a while after the shoot until the battery died.  Amazing invention!

My favorite shoot.  Silver Fox indeed.

I was not able to attend this shoot but the photographer sent me the most amazing outtake video I've ever seen.

This shoot was for St. Judes hospital.  These kids were the most fun and so amazingly inspiring to be around.  One of the best days ever.

and my favorite outtake!

8tracks is a great website to share music and make mixes, very handy for the studio!
