when i worked for the circus i worked very closely with the amazing photographer heinz kleutmeier as well as his amazing assistant jeff. these guys have been at the olympics shooting for sports illustrated. you can see the amazing pic they caught and read the interview here.

so proud :)

ya cowboy

and um, ya....

we (as in my magazine) did a photo shoot with tracy morgan the other night. the shoot was in LA which means i sit at my desk until really really late answering the phone and coordinating stylists, groomers, publicists etc., from my desk all the way across the country. while not so much fun for me, this shoot was particularly fun for my photographer. apparently tracy morgan is hilariously insane. my photographer said it was pretty much like the attached clip.

Cuba

in 2001 i went to cuba with a documentary group. we were there for a month. with the final images we published a book, produced a dvd and put together a website. i thought the website was gone until i got my alumni newsletter today.

here it is!

CUBA: Framing Time

check out the photographers bios section, damn i feel old.
i went to new york last week for a shoot with anderson cooper. i stayed in the creepiest hotel but thats what you get for doing things so last minute.

anderson cooper (not creepy at all):

my job is actually really fun when i get to art direct such laid back, cooperative people. not to mention my photographer is fantastic and he brought his "A-Team". we actually had a great time.

on the road again....

i have seen so much of this coast using almost every form of transportation over the past month. i'm trying to catch up with the pictures. this weekend i really need to get in a boat. heres some stuff you'll see driving the long way down to north carolina...

i was in north carolina for my dad's birthday with these guys

we've been going there since i was a kid. this is what most of my childhood summers looked like...

except back then we didnt have this cutie

i stayed in north carolina for a couple of days and then i had to drive back to dc so i could make it to a photo shoot in ny. those pics coming soon!

this is interesting (at least for those of us in the print media industry)..
